School Bus Safety Rules of Uttarakhand

• The word “School Bus” should be inscribed both on front and back of the bus
• “On School Bus Duty” should be shown in front of the bus if it is a hired one
• Every school bus should have a first aid box in it
• There should be horizontal grills on every school bus windows
• School bus should have an ISI marked fire extinguisher
• Name of the school or educational institution and its contact details must be written on
  the bus
• The doors of the school buses should have a strong lock system to ensure student safety
• Sufficient space must be provided to school bus students to keep their belongings safely
• There should be at least one school bus attendant to take care of the school children
• For additional safety, any parent or teacher can accompany students in the school bus
