School Bus Safety Rules of Arunachal Pradesh
- It is essential to have an inscription “School Bus” on the front and back of the bus
- If the bus is a hired one, “On School Duty” should be clearly displayed in front of the bus
- A school bus should have a First-Aid box along with necessary medicines and equipments
- All school bus windows must have horizontal grills fitted to it
- There must be a fire extinguisher, which can be easily seen by all school bus passengers
- Every school bus should have the name of the school and its telephone number displayed both on the front and rear side of the bus
- School bus doors must have a firm locking system and unlocking system
- Sufficient space should be provided to all students for keeping their bags safely and conveniently
- A trained and qualified school bus attendant, preferably a female one should accompany school bus students
- For additional safety, either a parent or a teacher can travel along with students in the school bus
