School Bus Safety Rules of Lakshadweep
- “School Bus” should be written clearly on the front and back of the bus
- No school bus should carry children more than it is allowed
- All school bus windows should be fitted with horizontal grills
- School bus doors should have a safe and solid lock systems
- Every school bus should compulsorily have a first aid box and a fire extinguisher
- The name of the school and its contact details should be displayed on the bus
- There should be sufficient space provided to students for keeping their bags safely
- A parent or a teacher should accompany students in the school bus
- School bus drivers should have a minimum 5 years of experience in driving
- Every school bus should have a valid insurance certificate and a pollution under control certificate
