• Following are some of the major school bus safety rules in Tamil Nadu,
• Two Emergency exits should be present in School buses
• Drivers should have at­least 5 years of driving experience to be eligible for school bus driver
• Bus attendant needs to have conductor license
• Speed limit needs to be 40km/hour
• No overloading
• Damaged floor needs to immediately replaced
• Frequent mandatory inspection every 3 months
