Tiny Tracker helps Scientists Track Loads of Location Information About Penguins
New tracking technology gives an opportunity for scientists to have an insight into the world of sea birds, the key indicators of climate change.
Dr Anna Lashko claimed that the tiny tracker is capable of bringing location information without any need of handling the bird. The trackers are powered by solar panels which charges the battery and transfers the information to the base station when it reaches within its range.
In addition to this, there are also trackers with a miniature light sensor and it stores bird's location information even through winter. To access the information, scientists have built a remote data retrieving station in Prydz Bay region.
This type of tracking tech can find their way to school bus tracking systems for ensuring student safety in the future in the form of smart wearables such as smart bands.VN:F [1.9.16_1159]Tiny Tracker helps Scientists Track Loads of Location Information About PenguinsRated 5.0 out of 5 based on 2 ratings
