Shocking! Drunk Driver Rams School Bus Into Railing of Bridge
Students of the St. Soldier’s School had an astounding escape on Monday morning after their school bus smashed into the railing of the bridge on Saketri road near Kaimbwala village.
It was due to the mere negligence of the driver that the accident happened. He was under the influence of alcohol. Police booked the driver for negligent driving. Children suffered injuries from the incident. They were admitted to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16. Children with minor injuries were discharged after treatment.
The information confirms that the bus driver Gurwinder Singh was heading to Chandigarh after picking students from Panchkula but he suddenly lost control of the bus when he reached the bridge on Saketri road near Kaimwala village and hit the railing of the bridge.

Few students, including Pranav, Dev, Akriti and Shayadveer, were injured in the incident. They were taken to the GMSH, Sector 16 immediately. All of them were suffering from minor injuries. After first aids they were discharged.
However, the family members were angry on the school administration for appointing such a driver. A relative of one among the students said that they would ask clarification to the school administration about it.
The medical examination confirmed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Case for negligent driving is registered against him at Sector 3 police station.
