Dera Bassi Administration Conducts Surprise Check on School Buses

Dera Bassi administration on 25th November have conducted a surprise check on school buses and identified that some are violating the safety rules by transporting more children than its permitted capacity.

As per the reports, two school buses were found to be violating the rules on the Tehsil road of Dera Bassi. And these buses belonged to Lala Deep Chand Public School and Lord Mahavir Jain Public School.

This surprise check was conducted on the basis of these complaints by Sub Divisional Magistrate Shiv Kumar as there were so many complaints about school bus drivers for careless and reckless driving.

The team of officials lead by Shiv found that buses with a seating capacity of 45 carried more children than its permitted number. He warned all school transport authorities that if they continue this offence further, it will ultimately lead to cancellation of their vehicle registration.
