City Police Inaugurates Renovated Children’s Traffic Park
The renovated children's traffic park has been inaugurated by the city police on Dr. Balasundaram Road in the Coimbatore city. It was said that this park is the biggest one in the whole South India and it receives technical support from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.
While attending the event A. Amalraj, Police Commissioner, claimed that the park will transform children into responsible drivers with the guidance from traffic officials. He also said that in the year 2016, there were about 1,377 accidents of which 285 people were killed and it can be prevented only by safe driving practices.
Along with the co-operation from the Education Department and private schools, police officials provide training for children at the park. They plans to give awareness to about 200 children per day.
Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter, said that a dedicated team of 30 people has been arranged for this initiative and the next park will be soon inaugurated in the Thane city of Maharastra.
