Children Locked Inside the School Bus by the Driver
Arizona: While there are initiatives taken for promoting school bus safety, a driver locked nearly 40 children inside the bus for the sole reason that they made noise. The driver is under investigation for allegedly locking children on bus.
The driver claims that he locked the children on board because they were too loud and was misbehaving as well. The parents waiting for their kids on the bus stop find the punishment harsh and unjust.
The inspection of the surveillance video shows the children pleading and crying to the driver for letting them get off the bus. They were pushing towards the front exit but the driver refused to unlock the door.
"See, your parents are getting upset. You break that door; you're going to be buying a new one. Your kid will get off the bus when I am done with 'em," the driver said.
While some parents tried to open the door others called 911 for help. The kids were crying to their parents but the driver despite all these were refusing to open the school bus door. The driver took the school bus to Dysart Elementary School and they were released in the school.
"I don't know if he went crazy, was going to crash into something because the way he took off he was speeding,” said a parent Adam Kautman.
The school district eventhough launched an investigation on the driver: parents are not convinced with that. Parents are of the opinion that, drivers have got the responsibilities towards the children. Here the driver acted just opposite to his responsibilities. The driver has resigned from the position.
