WIAA Organizes Women’s Rally to Spread Road Safety Awareness
As part of International Women's Day, more than 800 women participated in the rally conducted by Western India Automobile Association (WIAA). It was the third successive “Rally to Valley”(Mumbai to Lonawala), which took place on March 5, 2017 for spreading road safety awareness.
The theme of the rally was women empowerment closely followed by demonetization. They focused rally on safety of women and thus spread awareness regarding the issue they face. Its participants took part in 260 cars covering major landmarks of Mumbai like Girgaum Chowpatty, Marine Drive, Worli Sea Face, Peddar Road, and Aamby Valley City.
Nitin Dossa, WIAA president, said that they are planning to conduct rally in four more cities from next year.
